Rotary dryer is know as drum drying equipment or cylinder dryer.It is the most common equipment of mining equipments.It is suitable for dry metal and non-metallic mineral,magnetic concentrate,re-election concentrate,flotation concentrate,clay in cement industry and slime in coal industry.
1.Materials are sent to hopper of rotary dryer by belt conveyor or bucket elevator.
2. Materials enter the barrel installed with slope to horizontal line from the higher side, and hot air enters the barrel from the lower side, and then materials and hot air mix together.
3. Materials go to the lower side by gravity when the barrel is rotating.
4. Lifters on the inner side of barrel lift materials up and down in order to make materials and hot air mix completely, which is designed to improve the producing efficiency of rotary dryer.

| Working principle of drum dryer: Materials was transported to the hopper by the belt conveyor or bucket elevator, and then enter into the feed end through the feeding tube by the hopper feeder. Slope of the feeding pipe must be greater than the natural angle of material so that the materials can flow into the sand dryer. Dryer cylinder forms a slightly tilted with the horizontal. Material was added from the higher to form reflux with the heat carrier entered from low-end. Sometimes, heat carrier flows into the cylinder together with the material. With the rotating of drum, material run to the lower end by gravity. In the moving process, wet materials obtain the heat input of heat carrier directly and indirectly to be dried, then, the finished materials are sent out by belt conveyor or screw conveyor. |
